Obama Not the Antichrist, Just a Bad Choice

18 Aug

Antichrist ‘experts’ Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, authors of the “Left Behind” series, don’t think Obama is the Antichrist.

LaHaye and Jenkins take a literal interpretation of prophecies found in the Book of Revelation. They believe the antichrist will surface on the world stage at some point, but neither see Obama in that role. “I’ve gotten a lot of questions the last few weeks asking if Obama is the antichrist,” says novelist Jenkins. “I tell everyone that I don’t think the antichrist will come out of politics, especially American politics.”

“I can see by the language he uses why people think he could be the antichrist,” adds LaHaye, “but from my reading of scripture, he doesn’t meet the criteria. There is no indication in the Bible that the antichrist will be an American.”

Obama is a lot of things- most of them not good things- but he is not the antichrist. Can we stop with this foolishness now please!? Let’s not give any more credence to the lunacy of that rumor. We have too many real issues with Obama that get lost once the crazy antichrist talk starts.

Focus people, focus on why he’s a really bad candidate. He caved on FISA, flip-flopped on Iraq, NAFTA, public campaign financing, and offshore drilling; sold out traditional Democrats like pro-choice groups, gays and lesbians; told Hillary supporters to ‘get over it’played the race card on the Clintons, and on McCain; he snubbed Muslim voters not once but twice. He even threw his ‘typical white’ tutu (that’s grandmother in hawaiian) under that darn bus. This is not a good candidate for the job of president.

Even though many Kool-Aid drinkers admit Obama has revealed a darker side they don’t like, they continue to press the talking point that Obama is just pulling an elaborate rouse. He’s trying to appeal to those crazy, racist, bitter, God-fearing, gun loving, voters who are too stupid to know what is good for them into voting for him. Then, when he wins the election, Obama will pull off the mask and reveal the progressive liberal superman the Obamabots swear he really is underneath.

I wonder what proof these Obamabots have that he is a true progressive underneath. I haven’t seen any evidence of it. Who is the real Obama? If we go by his actions, we find more questions on judgement and character. It’s unfortunate that Obama hasn’t been in politics long enough to establish any kind of consistent record. Voting present 130 times tells me something about him and it isn’t nice. I’m not willing to risk finding out what Obama really believes when we have a perfectly viable alternative in Hillary Clinton.

I know who she is. I know what she stands for. Her record on the issues I care about (healthcare, pro-choice…) is long established and legit. If the dem leadership is determined to promote the unproven flip-flopping Obama- who runs neck and neck with McCain without any indication he can pull ahead- then they deserve the loss that awaits the party in Nov.

Oprah Winfrey once said she received a great piece of advice from Maya Angelou: “When people show you who they are — believe them.”

I liked the movies with Kirk Cameron. He’s a good actor. It’s too bad he doesn’t do more projects. According to the authors, the AC could be from another country just as easily as from the US since there is nothing about the US specifically in their research. We better keep an eye on those Brits, Russian, Chinese leaders too. 🙂

    “Feeling silly” you ask?

For rumor-busting the Obama antichrist rumor? No, I don’t feel silly about that at all.

Now, should Obama suddenly sprout horns and a tail and bring about the end of the world, I might find a second to feel silly then. For now though, I’m rejecting the antichrist theory. He’s a flawed man full of ego, pride, and narcisissm for sure, but I don’t believe he’s the devil’s proxy on earth.
