Nothing says humble like talking about yourself in the third person- which Obama did while speaking to a crowd in Wisconsin:
From Eau Claire, Wis., USA TODAY’s Kathy Kiely reports that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama renewed a line of rhetoric he’s been using in recent days. He told a crowd today that Republicans will “try to scare the heck out of you about the Democratic nominee,” and that he hopes to provide a better “sense of who I am” at this week’s Democratic National Convention.
“I think you’ll conclude that he’s sort of like us: he comes form a middle class background. He went to school on scholarships. He had to pay off student loans,” Obama added.
The ‘he’ Obama refers to is in fact himself. I’m reminded of a Seinfeld episode…
