The numbers say more people tuned in to see Palin than they did for the great greek temple lovefest for Obama.
The early estimates had Palin’s viewers at 37.2 million, that number was not complete as it did not include the PBS and CSPAN numbers which brought an additional 3.9 million more viewers. Add them together and Palin’s speech had over 40 million viewers, beating the Obama viewership of 38 million. People are crazy for Palin!
Palin said of Obama on Thursday: “We don’t have a ‘present’ button as governor — we are expected to lead, we are expected to take action and not just vote ‘present,'” said Palin, who is in her first term as Alaska’s governor. “So there’s a big difference, of course, between the executive and legislative branches and our experience.”
Palin tells it straight- no nuance. She was referring to Obama’s favorite past-time of voting ‘present’ in the Illinois Senate. I like how Sarah is not afraid of jabbing Obama.
Unlike Biden, Palin actually knows which position she’s running for on the ticket. Palin said Thursday that she has “a big job cut out in front of me running for vice president.”
Whether you agree with Sarah’s views or not, there is no denying she’s a bonafide political rockstar surpassing Obama in her first week on the national scene. I’m so loving this!!
