Sarah’s Role in McCain Administration

15 Sep

During an appearance in swing-state Colorado, Sarah Palin spelled out her role in a McCain administration:

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin said Monday she would concentrate on energy, government reform and helping families with special needs children if the GOP wins the White House this fall, and drew cheers when she said, “too often government is the problem” rather than the solution.

The speech was the first time Palin has indicated what role McCain might give her in his administration.

She said Alaska has nearly 20 percent of the nation’s supply of oil and gas and said her job as vice president would be to help McCain, “implement his ‘all of the above’ strategy for energy independence.”

She also said she would play a role in an effort to reform government.

“I’ve got another idea that I think Senator McCain likes. In Alaska, we took the state checkbook and put it online, so everyone can see where their money goes. We’re going to bring that kind of openness to Washington,” she said.

Palin, who has a four-month-old son with Down Syndrome, said she would ensure government is on the side of families with special needs children.

It would be great if Biden could give a few details on his role in an Obama administration. I don’t expect he will because that would require the Obama camp to actually provide specifics. They don’t like specifics. They just like hope and change.

I believe voters deserve to know what an Obama administration would be like, just as they deserve to know what a McCain administration would be like. McCain is willing to be transparent and offer details. I think Obama should too.

Sarah Palin is a spokesperson type of candidate. She is not somebody who is gifted at making policy.

As bad as Cheney is, Cheney knew how to develop policy in running the government. Palin is not a policy-wonk and that would hurt her.

In some ways with the debacle today, Obama could use Hillary because a policy-wonk IS exactly what we need in a VP and Hill is

Most VPs are only hauled out of storage to attend events like heads of state funerals.

Cheney really changed the VP role because he had too. Bush was a total lightweight. Obama is a total lightweight too.

Obama needs someone who is tenacious, policy literate, a real driven person that can take on issues/people to advance policies. There is no better person for the job than Hillary. Obama was a fool to pass her over for the job.

    Biden is no Hillary.
