Joe Doesn’t Like Actual Questions

25 Oct

For once, it was Joe Biden on the hotseat instead of Sarah Palin. He didn’t like being asked uncomfortable questions instead of the usual fawning adoration he has grown accustom to receiving. Oh Joe, no worries. In 10 days this will all be over. You can go back to your comfy seat in Congress and away from reporters who might ask you actual tough questions you don’t want to answer.

That reporter only wanted to get her 15 minutes of fame on a larger scale.

Where were the questions about Obama/Biden policies?
Where were the questions about Obama/Biden stance on Iraq/Afghanistan/Pakistan?
Where were the questions about what Obama/Biden would do to fix the economy?
Where were the questions about what Obama/Biden would do for small business that is different from McCain?
Where were the questions on how Obama/Biden would help to fix the conflicts between Israel and Palestine?
Where were any questions about issues that are affecting the American people?

    Absolutely none.

Oh yea I forgot right wingers are not use to REAL questions.

She had her chance to get it straight out of their (well Biden’s) mouth. She only wants to report on McCain’s talking points not issues.

    That was freakin’ awesome.

Greeting from Orlando FL! We’re all very proud of local ABC affiliate reporter Barbara West. She asked hard questions and made Biden sweat. Despite what the Obama supporters will say (and they are trying to slam this reporter hard) I’ve always found Barbara West to be very professional. She’s a solid journalist who showed her metal during this exchange with Joe Biden. It’s good to see that good journalists are still ‘out there’ willing to ask tough questions.

I heard the Obots are fuming over this interview. LOL!

You know they’re worried when they start babbling on about ‘right wing talking points blah…blah…blah’. She hit Biden hard and even his botox couldn’t shield his discomfort. It’s about time Biden felt a bit of what Sarah Palin has had to deal with from reporters.

No, really you guys think that those where hard hitting questions?

If so, no wonder McCain still have supporters. No need to give them detail plans about his taxes plan, health care plan, or anything else that has to do with the way he will govern.

Just give them garbage and they will be happy with it.

Why does McCain have low standards for you guys?

Or why do you guys allowing him to have such low standards towards you?

    Omg! That’s a fabulous interview.

Hooray! Finally, someone is asking questions these two have been dodging for weeks. Kudos to the interviewer here.

Yes, I consider questions about character and judgment important and hard hitting. Much more so than Palin’s clothing and makeup expenses which have been the ‘talking point’ for the Obama campaign this past week.

    Best. Interview. Ever.

This interview posed the questions I been hoping would be asked of Mr. “O”. Biden is pretty close enough though. Great job exposing Joe to a bit of hard questioning. We need more of this from more journalists.

Joe can’t handle the truth. Joe can’t handle being directly questioned on the associations and judgement of his running mate Obama. J

Joe should know better. He’s been in politics long enough to know this how it usually works. The media comes out with daggers looking for the target on the back. Obama has enjoyed a long grace period of media love, so perhaps Joe thought he was home free from this type of questioning. Ha!

I saw Barbara West’s interview on YouTube and thought to myself “Yes! There’s still a journalist out there willing to do their damn job.” That it’s a woman is only sweeter! Go Barbara go!

  12. Maddix October 26, 2008 at 5:36 pm #

Actually, I thought her questions were ridiculous. But that’s what reporters and the media in general does these days. They have certainly asked Sarah Palin enough ridiculous questions, so it’s fair game to do it to Joe too.

The point most seem to miss is that it’s Joe Biden’s job to not get all whiny, snippy and impatient. He’s not supposed to get angry or irritated on TV. It just doesn’t look good for a candidate to behave like a big baby and that’s exactly what Biden has gone and done. If he had ignored it or handled it better, this would be a non-story. Now, it’s a national story.

Biden flat out lied here when he said “our campaign has not given ONE PENNY to ACORN.” Actually, they did. The Obama campaign did pay an ACORN subsidiary over $800K. Whether it was during the primaries or GE is irrelevant to me. Biden can protest all he wants, but when the facts don’t add up to what he claims- that makes him a liar.

  14. salem October 26, 2008 at 7:49 pm #

I thought the Marxism question was silly, but Biden should have sucked it up. Instead he acts like a sexist jerk by saying “I don’t know who is writing your questions,” as if she can’t possibly write them herself.

  15. Heavenly October 26, 2008 at 8:07 pm #

Well we see that bias media is not just towards the left.

    Little news about Mrs. West.

Her husband “Wade West, is a political and media consultant for Republican politicians”.

Mrs. West interviewed McCain but with soft ball questions and ones that favor McCain.

    http://www.bluetidalwave.com/2008/10/conflict-of-interest-orlando-journalist.html

So now every right-wing nut can stop say that the media is bias in favor of the left/Liberals.

This is proof that it is not.

  16. salem October 26, 2008 at 11:04 pm #

To even think that one reporter in FL who gave Biden a hard time equals the the legions of media biased journalists in the tank for Obama is ludicrous.

Sorry, but one lone interviewer does not compare to the entire MSNBC Network pushing bad stories on Palin while ignoring everything on Biden and Obama. They just don’t compare at all.

  17. Heavenly October 27, 2008 at 7:26 pm #

I know you guys will like to denied it, but FOX NEWS IS MAINSTREAM MEDIA!

So stop with “Someone finally asked them tough questions” because if you actually think that those are tough questions I feel sorry for you.

Sarah Palin never faced tough questions……these are tough questions to you…..

    What newspaper do you read?
What is your position on abortion?
    What does a VP do?

And I can go on with the “so-called” tough questions.

Please get over yourselves…..POOR SARAH PALIN, POOR JOHN MCCAIN, POOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

    HA! that makes me laugh.

Oh that Joe, he had another run in with a reporter. LOL.

The story is over at Hillbuzz. I guess Joe went crazy and became irate when asked about Obama’s socialist comment along with the $2 mill Biden channeled to his family from campaign contributions.

The Obama camp banned this station too. My oh my that Obama banned list is growing quickly. Of course the Obots complained it was unfair to ask Biden any serious questions.

“They said Biden should have only been asked about what he thinks about the Philadelphia Phillies instead.”

Oh that Joe! I hope he does a whole bunch more interviews in the next week because they’re a nice break from his usual gaffes. Love it!
