The Denver Group has made the New York Times. Hooray!

The New York Times political blog The Caucus ran a piece online Wed. and a ‘slightly shorter version’ will make the print edition of the Times today.

Also, The Denver Group’s FDR ad in Wednesday’s Chicago Tribune (on page B06) caught the eye of Andy Shaw chief political reporter for WLS-ABC TV Chicago. He taped a phone interview with Heidi, one of the cofounders of The Denver Group.

The Denver Group is making some serious noise. We love it!  Go PUMA. Continue reading

Heidi and Marc, co-founders of The Denver Group, are running a terrific new ad. It’s a beauty- short, sweet, and effective.

About The Denver Group: The Denver Group has been formed to insure that the Democratic National Committee respect and carry out the democratic process at the convention in Denver this August by meeting certain specific goals. We will be advocating, and if necessary pressuring, through purchased mass media as well other accepted avenues, the Democratic National Committee to see to it that these goals and the interests of tens of millions of Democratic voters are met.

Our goals are:
– An open convention.
– Senator Clinton’s name placed in nomination. No symbolic roll call vote.
– Speeches allowed by supporters of Senator Clinton on behalf of her candidacy.
– A genuine roll call vote with Senator Clinton as a legitimate candidate.
– No coronation!

Just Say No Deal!

CQ WEEKLY – VANTAGE POINT
July 14, 2008 – Page 1877

The senator from New York is said to be negotiating a respectful presence followed by a graceful exit from next month’s Democratic convention, and last week the party announced that Barack Obama would formally accept the party’s nomination in the stadium built for the Denver Broncos. But there are Clinton supporters clinging to the hope that if her name is placed in nomination and the roll call of the states is conducted, she might — might — still win.   Continue reading

The Denver Group: Keeping Dem Party Democratic

5 Jul
GeekLove08 over at Come A Long Way, found inspiration in  No Quarter’s interview with The Denver Group and created this glorious new video.

The Denver Group formed to insure that the Democratic National Committee respect and carry out the democratic process at the convention in Denver this August. The Denver Group intends to advocate, and if necessary pressure, the Democratic National Committee to meet these goals:

* Hold an open convention
* Senator Clinton’s name on the ballot
* Speeches allowed by supporters of Senator Clinton on behalf of her candidacy
* A roll call vote
* No coronation

The founders of The Denver Group are Heidi Li Feldman and Marc Rubin. They are definitely heroes for Hillary!

The Denver Group: Keeping Dems Honest

2 Jul

Will Hillary’s name appear on the ballot at the Denver Convention?  Howard Dean has implied that Hillary might not be on the ballot. This is unacceptable.

Howard Dean himself, was on the ballot in 2004 and he had many, many less pledged delegates than Hillary.

What does Obama have to say about this? Well, he refuses to ‘negotiate the convention’ at this time. When did standard practices (like having all candidates with pledged delegate appear on the ballot) become a point of negotiation? When did ‘presumptive nominee’ Obama become ‘the one’ who decides it!?

It’s all so frustrating and irritating you just want to spit in their eyes and call it a day. But we can’t. We need to press on. We need to harness the PUMA power and demand (once again) that the Dem leaders actually abide by democratic principles. Continue reading
